I love when other members #InThePaint notice the hard work of their fellow #OneCommunity family. That is exactly what happened with this month’s Student Spotlight! We were doing the regular virtual locker room banter after a workout and one of the members shouted out Liz’s hard work and recognizable results. It is sometimes hard for people who see each other every day to see the results of others when weight loss or decreased inches in a healthy fashion is a slow process. On this particular day, I was thinking the same thing: I see you LIZ! Out thoughts matched her sentiments in her recent review on the testimony page.
Just a FUN FACT from me about her before you read her feature: She actually was an encouragement to me as a small business owner. I had the pleasure of serving as her pharmacist for a few years when I worked in her city, we were Facebook friends, and she purchased my book. However, I did not have her phone number. We were more of acquaintances. She did the trial #InThePaint at the start of the pandemic but had not signed up for the subscription. I sent her a Facebook message to check in and she immediately responded Yes, she’d love to continue her workouts. She motivated me to continue personal check-ins with others who had experienced the trial and more of them joined as Founding members than didn’t. Thanks Liz! It has been a pleasure serving you #InThePaint and a great big virtual hug to you for your inspiration to me that day!
Elizabeth Walters (affectionately known as Liz in #OneCommunity) , as stated is a Founding Member and has been #InThePaint for 9 months now.
What is your favorite thing about working out #InThePaint? Has it been different from other workout experiences you may have encountered previously?
The convenience of working out from my home and getting a full workout experience! I mean heart rate up and dripping sweat workouts! Your motivation makes me want to push harder not only #InThePaint but also in healthier eating. It has been different from previous experiences as I would be in person at the gym but #InThePaint has given me exactly what I need to remain active and fit.
What was the experience or motivating factor that inspired you to join #InThePaint? Was there someone who influenced you to join?
My motivating factor was receiving emails from Y-O-U! I believe after I purchased “Diets are Dead” I began receiving regular emails and invites. I’d always say “I need to ride to Macon and try one of your classes”; however it never happened! Then came COVID, practicing social distancing and being inside the house. While I was walking a little; I knew I needed more. Shortly after came the opportunity for virtual #In the Paint and let me tell you it has been AWESOME! Before COVID I would go to the gym regularly and attend SPIN and Body Pump classes. I absolutely loved SPIN but I have a new found love with #In the Paint.

Congratulations again Liz! Thanks so much for accepting this spotlight! Her comedian son puts a smile on our face on a regular basis with his greetings and often times attempts to join in on the workouts! I love these features as we get to learn more about our members and see what they have in common. Our last feature Trobiand, also listed Coming to America as a favorite movie and it happens to be one of mine as well. I let it stay on most of the day on Christmas while I was moving about the day as they were playing it over and over again. One thing Liz might find hard to believe, I can’t stand chocolate! People can hardly ever believe that. You don’t have to worry about me giving that out at any live events EVER! We can definitely watch Coming to America 2 together though in March. I can’t wait. We look forward to continuing on the journey with Liz and her fellow #OneCommunity members! To join Liz on this journey, Learn more here!
