Should You Workout On Holidays?

There are 6 major holidays recognized in the United States recognized by my job anyway (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving & Christmas).  There are 8 recognized as Public holidays (additionally Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Veterans Day)  One is coming up next week!  Memorial day is Monday and the big question on the table is “Should I Workout on Holidays?”

The answer to that question depends on who’s asking right?  Of course it does!  I am only here to share with you what is common if you are new to working out or just looking for a recommendation.  I will share with you my observations and my opinion based on years of working in and being a part of the healthy living community.

Working out on holidays might seem to some like an obsession.  It’s not and obsession, rather OPPORTUNITY is the more appropriate designation.  With the exception of Christmas, you will pretty much find some fun themed workout on ALL major holidays!  Why is that?

  • First, most people are off from work and available to participate in a workout.

  • People get to workout with people they don’t normally see if attending a group workout as all class times meet up for one awesome group morning experience.   It’s a great fellowship opportunity before connecting with your family and friends.

  • Subconsciously it makes you feel better to workout knowing what lies ahead in the form of possible gluttony with all the good food and desserts that usually come with celebrating major holidays.

  • Finally, you are probably in for a treat if you attend a group workout.  Instructors and trainers live for “special opportunities” to attract new participants in fun and unique ways!

Speaking of which….You are cordially invited to join me for a Memorial Day Workout!

As mentioned above, I have a special workout straight from my POWER PLAYBOOK created with you in mind!  I hope to see you there.  You can R.S.V.P. on Facebook Here or Eventbrite here.
