There are so many things that a new instructor or a seasoned instructor teaching a new program may worry about. I wrote a lengthy post last year on tips for fitness instructors.
I’m excited that after being on the market for 2 years, we have 3 seasoned Les Mills instructors that just got trained for Les Mills Grit & will be coaching 30 min HIIT workouts this summer! I am sure those ladies will have their own set of inner fear that we won’t be able to see as outsiders, but I’m sure it won’t be the same as mine was a few years ago…
Before I became a BODYCOMBAT instructor I was die hard in the class, but there is one thing I feared the most!
I spent the month of April launching the “revolutionary” Les Mills BODYCOMBAT 63! At the time of this review, I’ve taught or taken this release about 10 times! BODYCOMBAT as you may know, is the fiercely energetic mixed martial arts inspired cardio workout choreographed by international exercise experts! This release in particular was revolutionary with moves and quite cleverly embedded with the track “Edge of a Revolution”! In honor, my BODY COMBAT 63 antics…
Tip #1 – I thought the war paint went perfectly with this release! Oh and shout out to fabletics for the black top!
Every quarter, Les Mills Group Fitness shares with instructors some educational tips to help us better execute our programs! I was super elated to see this subject matter because one of my fitness SHEroes is currently pregnant and maintained her vigorous instructor schedule for quite a while.

I was welcomed back to the gym from my Matrixectomy with the amazing launch of Les Mills BODYCOMBAT 62. I only took a total of 2 complete weeks off. There is nothing I could have done that would have successfully gotten me through the reconditioning phase of my body than this empowering, fiercely energetic class.
One of the biggest challenges of teaching Les Mills programs or any group fitness class is learning the names of members as they join your class or you take over new classes already on schedules! Les Mills programs are so exceptional, I just can’t post enough about them. Anytime I get the chance to highlight a unique benefit of any of the programs, I share it with you! The holidays brought about a pleasant surprise to my day after Christmas Les Mills BODYCOMBAT & Les Mills BODYPUMP combination class.
I was graced with the lovely presence of my 60 year old God Mother! Whoot!
Discaimer – MEDICAL CLEARANCE SHOULD BE OBTAINED PRIOR TO COMMENCING BODYPUMP!
Hi PFL! Christmas week is here! I am delighted to be off from work, starting Christmas Eve to spend it with my family and friends! I hope you all have a blessed and merry holiday season.
Merry Christmas to you from the Jones Family
In the spirit of this past weekend, I have a few treats for you from Les Mills BODYCOMBAT 61!
In case you haven’t noticed, the theme this month is LOVE! Not necessarily spot on with relationships, just some things I love and some entertaining posts dealing with love.
So, you already know I LOOOVVVEEE Les Mills BODYPUMP program. I have written about it a number of times! Today’s post is addressing an issue I’ve noticed along with my head trainer.
When I first received these items in the mail from Fabletics, I tried them on immediately. When we got ready to leave for the mall after changing, my mother wanted to know why I changed outfits. I was like “those were workout clothes!”
